What a special night
This restaurant and Elio hold a very special place in mine and my Husbands heart. We first came across it in June 2022 and adored both Elio and the restaurant/food/wine. We asked Elio and his team if we could host our welcome evening for our family and friends coming to our wedding in Italy and the night couldn’t have been more perfect. The love and effort was that was put into making our night so special, will be something we will forever to grateful for. The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing and everyone had the best time. Una osteria a sorpresa

Ein Restaurant zum Wohlfühlen
Das ist einer der schönen und besonderen Orte, an die man sich gern erinnert. In einer ruhigen kleinen Seitengasse (Stichstraße) gelegen, vielleicht zehn Geh-Minuten vom Touristenzentrum entfernt, vermittelt diese Osteria sofort eine unverwechselbare persönliche Atmosphäre. Wir fühlten uns in diesem Familienbetrieb vom ersten Moment an freundlich umsorgt: aufmerksam und doch unaufdringlich. Die beiden gewählten Vorspeisen haben wir uns geteilt, so dass jeder probieren konnte: hauchzart geschnitten duftender (!) Parmaschinken mit Melone sowie die pikant zubereiteten Parmigiani. Wirkliche Leckerbissen waren im Hauptgang die Gnocchi con gorgonzola und die Tortellini die Valeggio. Schade nur, dass unser Hunger an dem Abend begrenzt war. Die Osteri al Boscarel haben sofort in unseren Verona-Stadtplan eingezeichnet und werden sehr gern wiederkommen; zumal auch die Preise wirklich maßvoll sind.

Locale scelto a caso ma per fortuna all’altezza della situazione. Piccolo, era pieno e si stava un po’ stretti, ma cibo ottimo ( gnocchi al ragù di anatra da paura ) e prezzi onesti . Il classico ristorante che vorresti sempre trovare..

Risi e Bisi. Wow.
Arrivati a Verona avevamo la voglia di mangiarci un bel Risi e Bisi e, nel cercare un ristorante che lo facesse, ci siamo imbattuti nel sito del ristorante Al Boscarel. Abbiamo chiamato alle 21.00 e ci hanno risposto in modo carino che ci avrebbero accolti. Arrivati, abbiamo ordinato e in poco tempo è arrivato un ottimo Risi e Bisi, due secondi piatti meravigliosi con patate al forno. Tutto da leccarsi i baffi. Il punto di forza del locale? I highly recommend!
I wanted to try risotto in Verona. After all they are known for it. I saw this restaurant got great reviews and was near San Zeno where I’m staying. I loved it!!! So delicious like I’ve never had. I ordered the one with mushrooms. So glad I went. Also they are very nice!

Il vero oste di una volta
Abbiamo cenato la sera del 23 marzo 2024, io mia moglie e mia figlia, tutto ottimo ben cucinato e veloci nel servizio. Elio oste d'altri tempi , serve ai tavoli si ferma a scambiare due parole con tutti e ti fa sentire come se fossi un cliente abituale. L’unica vera osteria di Verona
Il titolo dice tutto. Se volete andare in un luogo in cui trovare la vera cordialità e un “oste” che vi consiglia e vi tratta come foste suoi amici dovete andare all’Osteria al Boscarel. Elio tratta tutti allo stesso modo e tutti sono importanti per lui. Io lo conosco bene e mangio al Boscarel tutte le settimane. Si mangia bene, si spende il giusto, ma soprattutto ci si sente a casa. Da provare assolutamente il risotto all’Amarone, è fatto davvero con il vino Amarone, e ho detto tutto! Wunderbare kleine Osteria abseits der belebten Innenstadt. Ein "Geheimtipp"!
In einer Seitenstraße am Ufer der Etsch. 10 Gehminuten von Piazza Brà entfernt. Kleine Terrasse auf der Straße.
Wir waren das zweite Mal in Verona und das zweite Mal in der Oster
ia al Boscarel:
Sehr zuvorkommende, sympathische Inhaber. Sehr gutes Essen. Wunderbare Atmosphäre.

The sweetest waitress seated us, she spoke Italian, German, and English (maybe more, I didn't know!). She was amazing, helped us pick out an appetizer, pasta, and wine. Visited last night for dinner as our Air BnB host recommended this Osteria to us. The service was incredibly friendly and professional, and the food was great and reasonably priced. We paid €69 for two pasta dishes, a large salad to share, a bottle of local red wine, and a large bottle of water (+ cover charge which was €2 per person). Lovely setting on a quiet street not far from the central areas of Verona. 10/10 recommend! Cinghiale ragu was a highlight
